Lifetime Achievement Celebration
JOE PORCARO is a name known by most in the music industry, with a legacy that continues to grow with each day. We’ve heard Porcaro with heritage artists such as Gladys Knight, The Monkees, Pink Floyd, Natalie Cole, Don Ellis, Stan Getz, Madonna, Frank Sinatra, and the list goes on and on. From Jazz to Rock to Opera and Symphonic performances and sessions, Joe Porcaro is a legendary drummer and educator.
The LACM Foundation is proud to honor the pivotal impact Porcaro has had on developing the Los Angeles Music Academy into the renowned music conservatory that LACM has become. The night will feature performances by members of Toto, ensembles led by Porcaro, and a silent auction featuring memorabilia and musical instruments donated by prominent recording artists. All proceeds will support the LACM Foundation, a non-profit organization supporting students in need who desire to pursue their studies at Los Angeles College of Music.
Just as Porcaro has continuously given back students, the LACM Foundation encourages you to support our community by attending Then & Now with Joe Porcaro. Cocktails will be served at 7 pm and the show hosted by Master of Ceremonies, Ralph Humphrey will begin at 8 pm. You won’t want to miss this once in a lifetime event honoring one of the greatest performing and recording drummers the industry has ever known.
Tickets are $110 and advance purchase and RSVP is required.Tickets
